Apple has just made available macOS Sierra version 10.12 Developer Beta 7 and Public Beta 6 seeds to registered developers and testers. This update comes just one week after the previous, sixth version of the current beta releases was offered to all testers.
Both developers and public beta testers can now download today’s brand new update through the software update system that can be found in the Mac App Store. Developers can also download the new beta from the Apple Developer Program portal just like the good old days.
Expected to see a wider release this fall, macOS Sierra is set to bring a host of new and improved features to the platform, including better iCloud integration as well a support for Apple Pay to the web. This release of macOS will also be the first time Siri has been available to those who wish to use it, with the Mac finally receiving the update many have been waiting for years.
Alongside iOS 10 for the iPhone and iPad, macOS Sierra has seen a lot of progress throughout the current beta program, which is testament to the people that not only carry out the testing but also take the time to provide feedback on any issues they come across.
Getting people to test software is relatively easy. Getting meaningful updates out of them, not so much.
With macOS Sierra just a couple of weeks away from being all official like, we can’t wait to see what Apple and its band of merry people were able to put together. We expect to see macOS Sierra and iOS 10 debut some time in September, so not long left!
