Apple Releases iOS 14.3 Beta 3 And iPadOS 14.3 Beta 3 To Developers

Apple today released the third beta release of iOS 14.3 to developers. The update arrives two weeks after the second beta and around a month after the release of iOS 14.2.

There’s no indication yet as to when this update will be made available to the public, but with Fitness+ likely to require this particular update we expect it to arrive before the end of the year.

Apple has previously said that Apple Fitness+ would be ready in 2020, leaving it with only a few weeks left to get everything out the door. Fitness+ isn’t the only addition here, though.

Apple will also add Apple ProRAW to the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, allowing users to take RAW images that also benefit from the computational photography that makes iPhone photos look so great. The photos will also retain the editability of RAW images, too.

This update will also allow users to set Ecosia as their default web browser. The search engine promises to plant trees as people use it, something that sets it apart from the likes of Google and Bing.

Another important addition is the fact that Shortcuts will no longer open when a custom icon is tapped. That’s a big deal for anyone who uses custom app icons, with a simple banner appearing while the shortcut does its thing.

Developers can download the new iOS 14.3 beta over-the-air now.
