Apple has today released a number of new software updates including a revised iOS 17.6.1 alongside tvOS 17.6.1 and watchOS 10.6.1. All of the updates are now available for download and here’s everything you need to know.
These updates are available to the general public and you do not need to be a registered developer or on the public beta program, unlike the iOS 18 and iOS 18.1 and related betas.
iOS 17.6.1
This is the second iteration of the iOS 17.6.1 update for iPhone owners and it’s now available for download. Apple says that this update “includes important bug fixes and addresses an issue that prevents enabling or disabling Advanced Data Protection.”
It carries the build number 21G101, up from 21G93, and is well worth downloading now to make sure that you’ve got the latest and best release. The update can now be downloaded via the Settings app.
tvOS 17.6.1
Apple TV software updates are often not all that big and this new release is no different. There is no word on what this release has to offer, but we wouldn’t expect any big changes. Apple TV owners can download the update via the Software Update section of the Settings app.
watchOS 10.6.1
As Apple readies the watchOS 11 update, the new watchOS 10.6.1 software update has now also been made available for download. This update can be downloaded using the Watch app, but those who expect big changes will be left disappointed. This release is instead a new big fix release, albeit one that we suggest installing as soon as possible. This update reportedly fixes an issue that could have prevented people from accessing Apple Fitness+.
