Apple Original Films Shares First F1 Movie Trailer Starring Brad Pitt

For months now Apple has been teasing an upcoming movie from Apple Original Films that will star Brad Pitt and be set in the world of Formula 1.

We didn’t have a name for the movie until recently, and shortly after it was confirmed that it will simply be called F1, we now also have our first trailer as well.

The movie will be ready to watch in theaters starting in the middle of next year so it is still some way from being finished and filming was recently underway during the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The trailer runs for more than a minute and a half and gives us a glimpse of what we can expect when F1 finally premieres.

As for what Apple, it says that the new movie will feature a star-studded cast that starts with Pitt.

Starring Brad Pitt as a former driver who returns to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid, the feature has been shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport. The star-studded cast also includes Academy Award nominee Kerry Condon, Academy Award winner Javier Bardem, Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award nominee Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo.

The movie is directed and produced by Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski while Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman of Jerry Bruckheimer Films will also be involved. The premiere is set for June 27, 2025.
