Apple News Lets You Follow Presidential Election 2024 On iPhone Using Live Activities

Here’s how you can use Apple News to follow US Presidential Election 2024 on iPhone using Live Activities.

Apple today has added a new option in Apple News that lets iPhone users follow real-time updates on US Presidential Election results live via Live Activities.

This only works if you’re in US and only if you have devices with Dynamic Island, which means it will work on iPhone 14 Pro and later.

If you meet the above requirements, here’s how to go about enabling this feature on your iPhone:

Step 1: To get live updates on the 2024 United States presidential election, open the Apple News app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Tap the “Today” tab at the bottom, then look for the banner labeled “Follow the 2024 election live” at the top or below the “Top Stories” section.

Step 3: Once you click on the banner, a popup will appear once the Live Activity is activated. Election updates will then display on your iPhone’s lock screen and in the Dynamic Island.

That’s about it. Apple says this feature will start working on the night of 5th November in the US. Both the Live Activity and Dynamic Island will continuously display each candidate’s electoral count, along with results for Senate and House elections.
