Apple’s New Website Offers Free Apple Pay Decals For Stores

Apple Pay may have enjoyed a relative amount of success in its first six or so months in the market, but it’s still very much up-and-coming. Uptake thus far has been impressive, and with Apple Watch supporting the contactless payment system from the get-go, it seems probable that this trend will continue. In an effort to enhance this early period of growth, Apple has launched a website offering free decals for interested retail outlets.

The signage and other effects will be used to promote Apple Pay, while also helping to enlighten consumers on how to get involved with what may still seem like a bit of an enigma. Businesses heading over to and ordering a free promo kit from ApplePaysupplies.com will get the package sent to their door, and there are plenty of useful bits and pieces therein. For example, each kit includes glass and register decals in two different sizes for each, along with a tool to help the business owner to put them in place.

It may seem like the kind of offer that would only appeal to retailers of consumer electronics, but this isn’t, of course, necessarily true. Apple Pay is a contactless system that is looking to change the way that transactions are made across the board, touting a more secure, convenient method of payment, and given the promising start, seems well on its way to becoming ubiquitous.

The likes of the NFC-enabled iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are certainly not the first handsets to offer contactless payment, but it’s only since their arrival that a concerted push in this space has occurred. Before then, many vendors had tried to convince users that NFC-powered transactions were the future, but as has been the case on a number of occasions, it has taken Apple’s involvement to help things merrily along.

As well as the decals, the Apple Pay logo is also available to download from Apple’s website as an EPS file, which can be used on websites, emails, online ads, terminals and digital display. Logos such as that of Verified by Visa tend to frequent such places, and in fact, Apple goes on to recommend that stores place the Apple Pay logo in the vicinity of others like Visa and MasterCard.
