If I asked you where you thought that an Apple museum may pop up then you may suggest Cupertino or perhaps New York. You may go for the outside choice of London or maybe Paris, but I somehow doubt that you would guess that Prague would play host to one of the best collections of Apple goodies I’ve seen to date. If Prague was indeed on the tip of your tongue though, well, give yourself a gold star.
Featuring a collection of privately owned exhibits reaching as far back as the year 1976, the Prague Apple Museum may be a little far to travel for most, but if you do find yourself in the area then there are worse ways to spend your time than check out some of the things on show.
From promotional posters of some of Apple’s most iconic advertising campaigns to an iPhone, iPad and iPod release timeline featuring every model you could ever wish to see, this museum has it all in one place. What more could you possibly ask for?
Well, I’d ask for it to be a little closer to me but maybe I’m being a little overly picky here. Luckily there is talk of a 3D tour being on the horizon for those that can’t make it to Prague, and there may even be the possibility of the museum going on tour in the future.
If you are in Prague though and the museum itself isn’t enough of a pull, the people behind it aim to open a vegan restaurant at the location in honor of Steve Jobs himself.
I am not so sure about the restaurant, but I’d love to visit the Prague Apple Museum myself, whether that be in 3D virtual reality or real reality. Both, if at all possible!
