In addition to introducing a brand new (Product)Red version of iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus, and a plethora of new Apple Watch bands, Cupertino-based Apple Inc. has also announced a set of new Silicone and Leather cases designed for the current flagship smartphone range.
Gone are the days when companies like Apple introduced new products and accessories finished with colors that we have actually heard of. Instead, Apple has taken the opportunity to introduce new colors for Silicone and Leather cases which not only match the recently announced Apple Watch bands, but also have the same bizarre color naming conventions.
For those who prefer to wrap their iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus in silicone, Apple now offers the cases in Azure, Camellia, and Pebble colors. To the average individual, that essentially means blue, a version of brown, and a light red.
From a leather perspective, those who are willing to pay a little more for a more premium experience can now get their hands on Taupe, Sapphire, and Berry versions of Apple’s official Leather iPhone 7/7 Plus case. The Taupe color speaks for itself, with the other two new options being stunning deep blue and deep red versions of Apple’s Leather case.
They may have been designed to match the new Apple Watch bands, but these cases, whether Silicone or Leather, are definitely worthwhile additions to the company’s protective accessory range. Prices will start from $35 for the new Silicon cases, and $45 for the Leather cases.
The latest introductions take Apple’s total number of available cases to 22, with 12 silicone versions being available, and 10 leather options. Of course, consumers aren’t solely limited to turning to Apple in order to protect their iPhone 7/7 Plus. The official Apple cases are designed alongside the device itself for a perfect fit, and are finished with a snug, microfiber lining internally to maximize the protection.
However, there are also plenty of excellent third-party cases available for those who want additional variation, or something just that little bit cheaper.
Apple is selling these new cases immediately from retail Apple Stores as well as its online store at store.apple.com.
