Apple Launches 2013 Back To School Promotion For iPad, iPhone, Macs

1

This year's campaign marks the first time that Apple have also included the iPhone as one of the qualifying products. Previous campaigns rewarded customers for purchasing a Mac or iPad, but those who are wanting to get their hands on one of Apple's available iPhones will also see their purchase rewarded with free apps or digital downloads through the iTunes infrastructure. Students can use the $50 and $100 gift cards responsibly through the iBookstore to get their hands on textbooks for their course, or of course can choose the fun option and snap up movies, music or the latest must-have apps for their new purchase.

To qualify for the discounts and free iTunes cards, you must be a current university student or have already been accepted onto a university course for the coming academic year. Parents can also get in on the discounted action by purchasing a Mac, iPad or iPhone for their son or daughter, while faculty staff of any level also qualify. The current campaign will run up until 6th September 2013, with iPhone and iPad purchases being topped up with the $50 gift card and higher value Mac purchases receiving the $100 compliment.

It’s that time of year again when Apple takes it upon themselves to remove some of the pain that is commonly associated with full and part-time education. The Cupertino based company has once again kept up with what is becoming an annual tradition by announcing this year’s "Back to School" promotion, which includes some great discounts for those embarking on their studies. In addition to the education based discounts, Apple is also extending the campaign by rewarding those who purchase an iPhone with a $50 gift card that can be redeemed through iTunes. More details on the offer can be found right after the jump.

The company’s customer facing website has been updated to reflect the start of the annual campaign as well as changes made to the education based online retail section of the site that allows qualifying purchases to be made at the discounted price. In addition to the great savings, those who make a qualifying purchase from Apple will also be in line to receive a $100 or $50 iTunes gift card that can be exchanged for digital goods through iTunes or the iOS or OS X App Stores.
