We’re pretty used to Anker being the first name on most lips when it comes to picking up charging cables and bricks, and the company is out with its latest charging adapter that should see even the most demanding users form a little grin on their face.
The PowerPort Atom PD 4 is the name, and charging things is absolutely its game.
As that name might suggest, the Atom PD 4 supports Power Delivery via its two USB-C ports. The whole charger can output up to 100W of power, with that number split across those two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. That should be more than enough to charge any of Apple’s current notebooks, and anyone with an iPad Pro or Nintendo Switch will be able to charge from this without too many problems, too.
Charge up to 2 laptops or USB-C tablets, and 2 smartphones or other devices at the same time with a record-breaking 100W of charging power.
All of this comes at a cost, though. The PowerPort Atom PD 4 will cost around $100, which isn’t cheap. Knowing how solid Anker’s other products are, though, we’re pretty confident that this is one charger that will do exactly what it says it will, and for a long time, too.
Super Power – Provides an enormous 100W of charging power – enough to charge 2 USB-C laptops and 2 smartphones at the same time. USB-C Output: 5V = 3A / 9V = 3A / 20V = 5A. USB-A Output 5V = 2.4A max per port.
High-Speed Charging – Save up to 1 hour of charging time with USB-C Power Delivery and Anker’s world-famous PowerIQ technology for USB-A.
There’s no denying that the $100 price tag will give some people pause, but if you can use this instead of buying two less powerful chargers, it may well be worth every penny of that asking price. We’ll try and get one in for review and let you know how we get on.
