Apple is widely expected to announce its iPhone 13 lineup of devices this coming September, but when in September exactly? That’s something we don’t know for sure – although Wedbush analyst Dan Ives thinks he has the answer.
According to a Wedbush investor note that was seen by Barrons, the iPhone 13 lineup will be announced in the third week of September, closely matching the release schedule we have seen in the last few years – 2020 notwithstanding.
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives asserted in a research note Monday that an announcement is likely the third week of September. (The company has not actually announced a date, and isn’t likely to do so this far in advance.)
As Barrons correctly points out though, there is little to tell us why Ives thinks that is the case. No media invitations have gone out yet because the announcement is still three months away.
It’s likely few inside Apple know when the iPhone 13 devices will be announced if any. But for whatever reason, Dan Ives seems to know what’s going down.
If Apple does announce the iPhone 13 lineup in the second week of September we can expect a launch the following week. That does depend on the current semiconductor shortage and whether that impacts Apple’s own supply chain, however.
