Best Buy has been doing its best in recent weeks to save consumers some financial outlay, first by offering a $25 gift card to those who purchased an iPhone 5 directly from their online store, but they have now extended their seasonal goodwill by doubling that bounty and is now offering a $50 discount on the initial handset cost of all iPhone 5 models.
It isn’t the first time that we have seen large physical and online retailers like Best Buy or Walmart offer deals of this nature. It seems to be an increasingly regular occurrence is which they attempt to entice new mobile subscribers in by offering money savings on the cost of the handset, or by offering gift-cards as an incentive to take out a new mobile deal. As is usually the case with money off smartphones and tablets from Best Buy, the customer would need to enter into a supported two-year minimum term contract with either Verizon, Sprint or AT&T.
The price of the base model 16GB iPhone 5 has been slashed from $199.99 to $149.99 on all networks, with the mid-range 32GB variant reduced to $249.99 from $299.99. If that internal storage space just isn’t going to cut it, then an initial outlay of $349.99 will secure you a 64GB device on your preferred network. Both the Black & Slate and White & Silver options are available and all chosen handsets come with the standard free delivery that we would expect when shelling out that kind of money.
If staying up to date with current technology isn’t the most important thing in the world to you then Best Buy is also offering price reductions on the iPhone 4S, with the base 16GB version coming in at an extremely reasonable $49, with the same two-year contact requirements. It doesn’t look like customers can stack their rewards or deals and take advantage of the $50 reduction as well as the previous $25 gift-card reward, but for those who were looking at getting an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5, then this could be the perfect time. If you’re new to the iPhone world and have been waiting for a discount for a long time then simply click the source link below and bag yourself a shiny new iPhone 5 or 4S.
