Here are AirPods 4 ANC Vs AirPods Pro 2 comparison, and guide on which one you should go for?
Apple’s AirPods lineup got a refresh during the company’s big September 9 event, and while most people will likely focus on the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and Apple Watch Series 10, the new AirPods 4 models are well worth taking a look at — especially if you want active noise cancelation technology without going the AirPods Pro route.
The new AirPods 4 come in two different versions, one with, and one without ANC support. The former will no doubt be compared with the AirPods Pro 2, so which should you choose?
The AirPods 4 with ANC support cost $179 while AirPods Pro 2 cost $249, but that isn’t the only difference.
Apple says that both of these earbuds use the H2 chip but the AirPods Pro 2 feature improved ANC capabilities. Both pairs of earbuds have support for Adaptive Audio and Transparency mode though, while Conversational Awareness support is included across the board as well.
One major difference is support for hearing features that are to be added to the AirPods Pro 2 via a software update. That feature allows the AirPods Pro 2 to be used as hearing aids after running a hearing test on your iPhone, while the earbuds can also be used as ear protectors in loud environments as well. All of this is very good news for people who have hearing issues or want to protect their hearing for the future.
In terms of battery life, both models can run for up to 30 hours when using the charging case while the AirPods 4 top out at five hours on a single charge. The AirPods Pro 2 manage an extra hour.
