Activator For iOS 8.3 Released [Jailbreak Tweak]

Activator for iOS 8.3 has been released with basic support for iPhones, iPads and iPods jailbroken using the latest TaiG tool. More details on the tweak and how to install right now can be found here.

For those who don’t know, Activator, developed by Ryan Petrich, is a popular jailbreak tweak which allows you to set custom gestures to launch pre-defined actions. For example, you can set Activator to turn up or down the brightness of the display simply by swiping up and down on the screen, or you can set it to launch a certain app when a certain gesture is performed. It’s a very powerful tool and possibilities with Activator are almost endless.

And now, new version of Activator has been released to support the latest iOS 8.3 jailbreak. It is ready to download right now. It is important to note that Activator requires Cydia Substrate to work. Install it only if you updated or jailbreak fresh using TaiG 2.1.2 which includes fix for Cydia Substrate. More on TaiG 2.1.2 can be found here:

And here’s how to install Activator:

Step 1: Launch Cydia from your jailbroken iOS device’s home screen.

Step 2: Tap on ‘Changes’ tab at the bottom and hit ‘Refresh’ in top left corner.

Step 3: Now wait for the repositories to refresh.

Step 4: You can now either go to the BigBoss repo section from ‘Sources’ tab directly to download Activator, or simply search for it in Cydia.

Step 5: Tap on ‘Install’ in the top right hand corner to install the package onto your device.
