The world of jailbreaking iPads might be about to get a boost after a Chimera jailbreak was teased for iPadOS 13.
The tease came by Electra jailbreak developer CoolStar via Twitter, with an updated Chimera jailbreak tool shown off in screenshot form.
Based on similar tweets by the developer, we can expect the newly updated Chimera to support iPadOS 13 through iPadOS 13.3 on devices running Apple’s A9 processor all the way to the A13.
While the current unc0ver jailbreak is compatible with iOS 13 through iOS 13.3, it doesn’t yet support iPadOS at any level. What’s more, the jailbreak isn’t expected to support the tablet any time soon, either.
That leaves iPad users waiting for Chimera to be updated, and it looks like that’s now something that is in the cards. Unfortunately, there has been no mention by Coolstar as to when we can expect this updates version of Chimera to be released, but we’re crossing our fingers that it isn’t too far out into the future.
We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for further CoolStar tweets in the coming days and weeks. After all, why tease the thing at all if it isn’t at least close to being made available to the public?
