As smartphone cameras have continued to improve, software developers have worked tirelessly in researching ways to make usability just that little bit easier. AN.droid.KIT, the guys behind QuickShot HD Camera for Android, believe they’ve finally solved this issue, and have offered an interesting workaround for that common problem of firing the snapper up exactly when required.
It operates on a one-touch basis. You tap on the QuickShot icon, and the image is taken. No long delays, no lengthy app loading times. You simply touch on the icon and the image is saved – in high definition – to your Gallery.
There are many ways to skin a cat, and I have seen many camera apps purporting to do the job in double-quick time. However, I am very impressed by QuickShot’s vast array of features. It can operate covertly as a spy camera or silent camera, and not only can you select from a range of different resolutions, but you can utilize both the front and back-facing cameras of your handset – provided both are in place, of course.
You can set it to offer haptic feedback when a photo is taken, so you know for sure the image is waiting for you in the Gallery, and with more features on the way, QuickShot HD Camera has the potential to stake its claim as the go-to app for speedy shooting. A camera widget, autofocus disable mode and built-in gallery are among the features set to arrive very soon, and although – as is often the case with initial releases – it suffers from the occasional crash, the developers are working hard to quickly rectify any issues you may have.
