Looking to jailbreak iOS 18.2 on iPhone or iPad? Here’s what we know about it based on latest information that is available.
As you may already know by now, Apple recently released iOS 18.2 final version to public. This version of iOS brings second-wave of Apple Intelligence feature to compatible devices. This includes features like Visual Intelligence for iPhone 16 series, ChatGPT integration, enhanced Siri, Image Playground, Image Wand, Genmoji and more.
Coming back to jailbreak, the scene isn’t as popular as it once used to be. The main reason seems to be Apple bringing a lot of ideas and features that were once available as jailbreak tweaks into mainstream iOS. Another reason for this is Apple upping its security game, and jailbreak developers simply don’t have the incentive as they once had to use their exploits for jailbreak scene when they can earn a lot more by reporting those exploits to Apple.
It’s for these reasons that we haven’t seen a new version of jailbreak come to life on newer iOS devices for a long time now. While iPhone X and below models are pwned for life thanks to hardware-level bootrom exploit, Apple is no longer supporting releasing newer firmwares like iOS 18 for those devices.
While all of this might sound depressing if you’re looking for a jailbreak, keep in mind that not all is lost. The situation can change anytime, as we’ve seen in the past as well. When or if it does, we’ll be sure to provide full updates.
For now, we recommend you to go ahead and update to iOS 18.2 to enjoy all the second-wave Apple Intelligence features it brings to your device.
