macOS Sequoia 15.2 Beta Adds Weather To The Menu Bar

Apple’s latest macOS Sequoia 15.2 beta introduces a neat feature: you can now add the weather to your Mac’s menu bar.

It displays the current temperature along with a simple icon – like a sun for clear skies or a cloud if it’s overcast. It’s a quick, glanceable way to keep an eye on the weather.

Clicking the weather icon opens a more detailed view. You’ll see an hour-by-hour forecast and the current weather in any other locations you’ve saved. Need more info? You can jump straight into the Weather app from there.

Enabling this feature is super easy.

Head to the Mac’s Settings app, navigate to the Control Center, and scroll down to the “Menu Bar Only” section. You’ll find Weather listed alongside other quick-access options like Clock, Spotlight, Siri, and Time Machine.

Right now, the macOS Sequoia 15.2 beta is available exclusively to developers, but Apple’s likely to roll out a public beta soon. As for the final release, it’s expected to land in early December. So, if you’re eager to try out this handy feature, you won’t have to wait too long!
