Apple Shows What The iPhone 16 Camera Control Feature Can Do In New Video

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 phones have now been around for a couple of weeks and one of their biggest additions, the Camera Control button, is the subject of a new advertisement shared on YouTube.

The new video is all about the Camera Control button, specifically on the iPhone 16 Pro, with Apple taking people through the different ways the multi-function button can be used.

The button can be used to quickly access the Camera app on compatible iPhones while it can then be used to interact with specific features once the app is open. Third-party developers can also tie into the Camera Control button when creating their own camera apps, too.

While not yet available, Apple Intelligence will also add support for the ability to use the Camera Control button to identify things. Apple’s full ad interestingly only shows the iPhone in landscape mode which is clearly the way that it is designed to be used. However, the new Apple Intelligence feature is designed the opposite way, with Apple’s unveiling video showing the handset held in portrait.

Regardless, some people have lambasted the Camera Control button for its awkward position no matter which orientation the iPhone is held in. If you’re at all interested in just what the new button can do this video is well worth checking out.
