macOS 15 Sequoia Compatible Mac Models: Full List Of Macs Supported With Apple’s Latest Desktop OS

Here is the macOS 15 Sequoia compatible Mac models list showing Macs that are supported with Apple’s latest desktop operating system. Is your Mac on the list? Let’s find out.

Apple announced the macOS 15 software update at the annual WWDC 2024 event and released the first betas alongside that unveiling.

Since then, a number of betas have been released for macOS 15 with final version slated for release come September 16. There will be some new Macs released throughout 2024 and 2025 that will be featuring this version of macOS. The question is, will you need to buy one of those machines in order to take the new software for a spin?

Depending on which Mac you own today, you probably won’t. But there is a real possibility that those who own some specific, older Macs, might find their machines cut adrift with this particular release.

In terms of the computers that are supported by macOS 15, here’s the list:

  • iMac from 2019 or later
  • Mac Pro from 2019 or later
  • iMac Pro from 2017 or later
  • Mac Studio from 2022 or later
  • MacBook Air from 2018 or later
  • Mac mini from 2018 or later
  • MacBook Pro from 2018 or later

It’s likely that we should expect that this will be the last year where Apple’s new Mac operating system can be installed on machines powered by Intel chips however, so if you aren’t using an M1 or newer Mac now is the time to consider upgrading.
