Apple has announced its new watchOS 10.1, tvOS 17.1, and macOS 14.1 updates and they are all now available for download even if you aren’t a developer.
Developers have of course been able to test these updates for a little while, but they’re now available to everyone who wants them and they can be installed on all compatible devices.
The updates are free, as always, and we’d suggest that you install them sooner rather than later not only to get the new features they offer but also a new array of fixes and improvements across the board.
That isn’t to say that there are a ton of new features coming in these updates, however. There are tweaks including the ability to favorite new songs, albums, and playlists in the Music app on the Mac, while Apple Watch owners can also look forward to using Double Tap on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. That feature allows a double-tap of the fingers to interact with the software running on those watches.
All of these new updates are available via their respective software update mechanisms and arrive alongside the release of iOS 17.1 and iPadOS 17.1 for the iPhone and iPad respectively.
This is likely to be the last major update to any of these software versions until the turn of the year, although we could still likely see bug fixes and other improvements as and when they are required.
