If you’re planning on picking up a new Tesla Cybertruck and have concerns about getting shot while driving it around, you might not need to worry. That’s after tests appeared to show that the Cybertruck is bulletproof. Or at least, the panels are.
We know this after someone spotted a Cybertruck driving around with what appeared to be dents made by bullets.
There had been the suggestion way back when the Cybertruck was announced that Tesla would try to make it essentially bulletproof. However, tests showed that the glass wasn’t as tough as expected.
Regardless, Tesla said that the main bulk of the car would be “nearly impenetrable.”
Cybertruck is built with an exterior shell made for ultimate durability and passenger protection. Starting with a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton, every component is designed for superior strength and endurance, from Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel structural skin to Tesla armor glass.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed the truck seen recently had indeed been tested by firing bullets at it. And the good news? None of them got through into the area where the driver and passengers would sit.
We emptied the entire drum magazine of a Tommy gun into the driver door Al Capone style. No bullets penetrated into the passenger compartment.
As for the Cybertruck itself, it’s now closer to release than ever. Tesla will hold a delivery event on November 30, with early deliveries expected to start arriving around the same time.
