Apple announced a new M2-powered MacBook Air during its WWDC22 opening keynote on Monday and while the machine won’t be ready for people to get their hands on for a little while yet, that doesn’t mean that you can’t get at least part of the MacBook Air experience today.
You can now download the new machine’s official wallpapers without having to buy a new Mac to get them.
Apple’s new M2 MacBook Air was announced alongside the new 13-inch MacBook Pro, another notebook powered by the same chip. The next-generation Apple silicon has eight CPU and 10 GPU cores and supports up to 24GB of RAM. But we all know that as good as that sounds, the biggest improvement here is the new wallpapers!
Now, a Twitter user has shared high-resolution versions of the new wallpapers for everyone to download — there are four different colors to choose from but they’re all pretty great.
Apple’s WWDC22 event also saw the announcement of a ton of new software including macOS Ventura, iOS 16, iPadOS 16, tvOS 16, and watchOS 9.

All of those new software updates are now available for developers to try in an early beta form, while a public beta program should kick off next week. Everyone else will be able to download the update at some point next month, although exact timings have yet to be communicated.
