Fortnite Could Come Back To iPhone Via GeForce NOW In October

Fans of Fortnite could be able to play the battle royale game on their iPhones and iPads before the year is out, according to a new report. It won’t be Epic or Apple’s doing though – it’ll be thanks to Nvidia.

First spotted by iMore, Nvidia previously confirmed that it was working to bring Fortnite to iOS devices via the GeForce NOW game streaming service. Touch controls were also mentioned, too.

“Alongside the amazing team at Epic Games, we’re working to enable a touch-friendly version of Fortnite, which will delay availability of the game. While the GeForce NOW library is best experienced on mobile with a gamepad, touch is how over 100 million Fortnite gamers have built, battled and danced their way to Victory Royale.

We’re looking forward to delivering a cloud-streaming Fortnite mobile experience powered by GeForce NOW. Members can look for the game on iOS Safari in the near future.”

Fast forward to the Epic Games vs. Apple trial that is going on right now and NVIDIA’s Aashish Patel confirming that October is a “potential date of release” for Fortnite on iOS.

That will be huge news for those who have been waiting to get their Fortnite on for months now. Fingers crossed we can get Epic and Apple, to make up before then, too.
