Apple recently announced the iPad Air 4 but it wasn’t able to get it ready to be shipped right away. The company said that we would be able to get it in October and just a few days into the month we’re already seeing benchmarks appear online.
The new iPad Air is the first device with Apple’s A14 chip inside, too.
Based on the numbers shown by the benchmarks it is clear this is a speedy chip. The Geekbench scores of 1583 for single-core and 4198 for multi-core compare favorably with the previous iPad Air, complete with the previous A12 processor. In fact, we can look forward to performance of almost 50% better.
This should also give us an idea of what we can expect from the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro when they ship later this month, presumably with the A14 processor in tow.
This new chip will make the new iPhones the fastest yet, although those expecting a massive jump in speeds might be disappointed. It all depends how Apple uses the extra power, though.

More interesting is the news via Twitter leaker Fudge that Apple is working on a new Apple TV with an A14 or similar chip inside.
Apple Arcade is getting BIG money poured into it. There are currently titles in the works that are aiming to rival the likes of Breath of the Wild, which is why new A12X/Z AppleTV, "A14X-like" AppleTV, and Controller are in the works.
Some games will require A13 and up to run 💁🏼♀️

They go on to say that this is all thanks to Apple Arcade, with Apple throwing money at the game subscription service. That will apparently mean more meaty games which require a faster processor to run.
