Apple announced Apple One during its September special event, bringing multiple services under one roof for the first time. But almost immediately, there was a potential problem that could scupper the whole thing for a ton of people – what if their Apple ID for iCloud and Apple Music is different?
The reason that’s a problem is simple. Both iCloud storage and Apple Music are included in Apple One but there are people who sign into them both with different logins.
There was a concern that Apple One wouldn’t support such a thing, preventing some from taking advantage of it.
One person to ponder that was Microsoft’s senior cloud advocate, Christina Warren, and she took to Twitter to voice her concern.
Thankfully, Apple stalwart Chris Espinosa replied, putting everyone’s mind at rest. According to him, Apple One will work just fine even if you log into Apple Music and iCloud using different logins. Phew!
It manages that. I just double-checked.

We still don’t know exactly when Apple One will launch but we’re told to expect it soon. It’s possible Apple will be holding it back for the iPhone launch next month, for example.
Apple One will include services like iCloud, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, Apple TV+, and Apple Fitness+ for a flat fee with some very decent savings in the offing.
