If you’ve been (im)patiently waiting for Call of Duty: Mobile to land on iOS or Android, the wait may be about to come to a close after it was confirmed that Activision recently made the game available to players in Australia.
Available for free from the App Store and Play Store, the game can be downloaded by Australian users who own an iPhone or Android. This sort of soft launch would suggest that an international launch is just around the corner, although no firm information is available as yet.
While previous mobile Call of Duty games have flattered to deceive, this one promises to be a big hit. The main reason for that is the fact the game is bringing all of the most popular game modes to mobile, including Hardpoint, Domination, Team Deathmatch, and Free-for-All.
Fight across iconic multiplayer maps and play fan-favorite modes as you strive to be the best in the world in Activision’s highly-anticipated Call of Duty®: Mobile!
There are more features to enjoy including a battle royale mode. That’s to be expected in this day and age where no mobile game can launch without at least trying to compete with the likes of PUBG and Fortnite. Whether Call of Duty: Mobile can do that remains to be seen, but it has as much chance as anyone.
That’s because developer Tencent has made a number of optimisations to the popular Call of Duty game modes in order to make them work better on mobile. Touch controls in particular will be interesting, but we have high hopes. Bring it on!
As an iOS or Android user, if you can’t wait for this game to arrive in your country, then you can make an Australian store account (iOS guide, Android guide) for free and get the game from there now.
