We told you recently about Samsung’s new “Ingenius” campaign in which it mocked Apple’s iPhone X in an attempt to promote its own Galaxy S9 and there was a mixed reaction across the internet. While some thought it was great to see Apple given a black eye on LTE speeds, others perhaps rightly think that Samsung should focus on its features rather than trying to score points over Apple.
Regardless of your view, Samsung is at it again with three new videos that are all based on the same kind of theme.
Each of the three videos sees a customer speaking with what is supposed to be an Apple Store employee with the outcome of that conversation being that the Galaxy S9 is a better option than the iPhone X for a variety of reasons.
One of the videos, named “Dongle,” focuses on the fact that listening to music and charging the iPhone X at the same time requires a dongle because, as we all know, the iPhone X does not have a headphone jack. Samsung’s Galaxy S9 does, while using USB-C for charging.
Moving on, we have the second video, called “Fast Charger,” which predictably dings Apple for charging customers for a high-power charger and Lightning-to-USB-C cable so that they can charge their devices more quickly. We have to agree with Samsung here, a company that ships a fast charger in every Galaxy S9 box.
Finally, the “Camera” video focuses on, you guessed it, the camera. The Galaxy S9+ has a higher DxOMark score than the iPhone X and whether you put any great stock into that is up to you, but when faced with the Galaxy S9+’s score of 99 and the iPhone X’s 97, laypeople will understandably think the Samsung phone wins that round, too.

No matter how Samsung may have a point in some of its videos, we would still rather it just produce great videos based on its own phone rather than taking a pop at other companies. It just feels a bit… tacky.
