Sure there are better ways to celebrate New Year’s, but how about celebrating 2017 with Apple’s Free App of the Week offer? Today’s title is a game which usually costs $2.99 on the iOS App Store, but till Thursday, can be downloaded for free on the iPhone and iPad.
Called Warp Shift, it is easily one of the best puzzle game titles to be existing on the App Store, and in terms of appeal, it sits right up there with another blockbuster; Monument Valley. So if you’re familiar with the latter title, you can well understand the appeal and the quality of Warp Shift.
Not only is the gameplay a unique one, the graphics and the aesthetics are straight up gorgeous as well, and as the developer tells us, it’s “filled to the brim with innovative twists and new ideas.”
Guide the little girl Pi and her magical companion through the maze-like confines of the enigmatic ancient chamber that keeps them trapped. Think ahead and alter your surroundings wisely to usher Pi back home – one swipe after another. Embark on an audio-visual voyage through time and space, never knowing where your next step will lead you.
There are over 6 different levels on offer here, all of which come packing with 15 different levels. Given the mind boggling puzzles you face, that is some serious playing duration. Of course, the developer also tells us that there’s no sense of urgency in Warp Shift and that players can “play to relax, escape” and even clear their mind.
