The Social Network grabbed three Oscar awards, but falls short of winning the Best Picture (to The King’s Speech) at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards. It was nominated for eight awards, including Best: Picture, Actor (Jesse Eisenberg who played as Mark Zuckerberg), Director, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Film Editing, Original Score and Sound Mixing.
The movie won Oscars for: Best Film Editing, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Score.
The Social Network also picked up four awards, including for the Best Picture at the Golden Globes.
For those of you who don’t know, The Social Network is the Hollywood adaptation of the popular social networking site Facebook.
