We already know about the Dual-Core Galaxy S successor that will be announced this weekend on Sunday at 6PM Central European Time in Samsung’s presentation at Mobile World Congress, abbreviated MWC, and we also know that there has to be at least one tablet on the show as Samsung promised it for MWC 2011.
Folks at Pocket-lint are reporting some of the details of the tablet that has to be announced. According to them, the Tab’s successor is a 10.1-inch Android 3.0 device with a Dual-Core chip. If the specs are true, Galaxy Tab II will be a Motorola Xoom competitive device which is the only Honeycomb tablet to ship. The unnamed tablet successor is said to be a smaller device than iPad with a slightly larger screen size which would give it an edge over other available tablets.
Folks at Engadget, however, doubt the presence of dual-core Qualcomm processor in the device since Samsung has also produced it’s own dual-core chips (Orion / Exynos) and utilizing the one by competitor could mean undermining your own.
