Everyone loves dolphins don’t they? What’s not to love? They look cute, they’re super clever and they can swim like hell. Dolphins are about as awesome as something that lives in the water is likely to get. We love dolphins, and you should too!
Especially if you’re an iPhone owner, because it seems that dolphins are partial to Apple’s smartphone as well. According to Miami Heat dancer Teressa Cee, one dolphin rescued her iPhone when it took a plunge itself, saving it from a watery grave.
In a post to her Instagram and Facebook accounts, Cee tells the story:
True Story: While in the Bahamas, I had the opportunity to go swimming with dolphins on #BlueLagoonIsland. We were filming on this floating platform in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. So, against a my better judgment I asked someone to hold my phone for me and he accidentally dropped my phone into water and it sank to the bottom. Cacique, the dolphin, actually retrieved my phone and brought it back up to me. Cutest thing ever! #Unbelievable #Bahamas #DolphinEncounter
At this point, we find ourselves wondering whether the iPhone in question actually survived the ordeal or not and, more importantly, what’s that Dolphin’s Flappy Bird score?
If the iPhone in question happened to be an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, then it may just have survived the water incident after it was found that Apple has added some waterproofing to its newest iPhones. While not waterproof by any stretch of the imagination, it is clear that Apple has made changes to the iPhone’s internal design in order to try and minimize the effect of an iPhone being submerged in water.
Presumably, the iPhone 7 will also come with its own dolphin to retrieve any water-bound iPhone as well.
