A while ago we told you about an app called Power which was one of the first for the Apple Watch which aimed to keep people apprised of how full, or likely how empty their iPhone’s battery is. It was one of our favorites at the time and Power found a home on many Apple Watches as well. Now though the app’s developers are back with a big update, and it’s quite the update indeed.
Available as a free update to the $1.99 app already on the App Store, version 1.2 of Power brings with it new iOS 9 support at its core, but with plenty of bells and whistles to go along with it.
One of the iOS 9-only features that Power brings with it is the ability to detect Low Power Mode, and the app can also now detect when your iPhone is charging as well. Users of Power will now also receive improved notifications for related to their iPhone’s battery level, and while new features are all well and good, Power also has its fair share of bug fixes in this update, too. Gone is the problem which saw iPhones with less than 5% of battery remaining disappear from the app.
There are more than a few apps that give an Apple Watch the ability to check an iPhone’s battery levels, but Power is one of our favorite and it looks good to boot. The app was good before the update, but version 1.2 is certainly a worthwhile download especially if its old bugs have stopped you from using it in the past. If you never downloaded it before now though, today would be a very good day to check it out.
Power is available in the App Store now for $1.99.
