BoxWave has revealed a new keyboard attachment accessory which can turn your iPhone 4 into a Droid it always wanted to be. Dubbed as Keyboard Buddy Case, it can be used as an iPhone 4 case, complete with camera, volume rocker and the other cut-outs, along with a physical slide-out keyboard.
The case includes a USB cable for charging which lasts around 45 days. You can even turn it on or off to conserve battery life when switching between Apple’s touch keyboard, and the case’s physical one which connects with phone via Bluetooth.
“Clean and modern, the Keyboard Buddy Case appears to simply be a protective case when the keyboard is not in use. Combining ergonomic technology with sleek aesthetics, the Keyboard Buddy Case is a protective backing for your Apple iPhone 4 that also includes an integrated slide-out Bluetooth keyboard. The low-profile keyboard slides out smoothly, allowing you to easily transition between the Apple iPhone 4’s touch screen and a physical keyboard”
The BoxWave’s Keyboard Buddy Case adds only a little thickness to the slim profile of the iPhone 4 compared to the TK-421 qwerty case or the Nuu Mini Key. Its long battery life is also an attraction compared to the similar competing products but the $70 price tag is a bit steep to my liking, and is probably the only thing which goes against it.
