Banners Go Up At Apple’s Campus Ahead Of iPhone 5S / 5C Keynote [IMAGES]

As the hours tick down towards the big September 10th iPhone event, which will play host to the introduction of new wares from Apple, the final preparations are being put into place as the fruit company readies itself for an influx of journalists and other hangers-on.

The event, which is expected to be the big announcement of not one, but two new iPhones is set to take place at Apple’s Town Hall auditorium at its Cupertino headquarters at 10am on Tuesday. Ahead of that time, Apple has started to spruce the event up with new banners which feature the same colorful blobs that adorned the event’s invitations that were sent out last week. We’re going to go ahead and assume that the colors match the new iPhone 5C colors that we expect to see for the first time in the morning.

The Internet has not been short of a rumor or two surrounding what Apple may have up its sleeve for us come announcement time, and the consensus seems to have settled on two handsets being shown off by Tim Cook and his team.

The first of the two handsets is believed to be a budget model going by the name of iPhone 5C. Available in a raft of colors and featuring a plastic shell, this is expected to be an iPhone 5 in a new body.

The new flagship model, the iPhone 5S, is expected to receive the usual speed bump as well as potentially two new color options, including the much vaunted gold/champagne option. This device is also believed to have a new fingerprint sensor below its Home button, too. As far as the looks are concerned, and as is typical of an ‘S’ release, the iPhone 5S is expected to look the same as the currently shipping iPhone 5 handset.

We’ll have all the answers in less than 24 hours, and we’ll even know more about the new iOS 7 release too. It’s not long to go now folks, so fingers crossed we’re not all feeling deflated come the end of tomorrow’s event!
