World Record for Fastest Texting on Samsung Galaxy S Gets Smashed by iPhone 4 User ! [Video]

It was only yesterday when a woman named Melissa Thompson used one of those new Samsung Galaxy S smartphones to beat the Guinness World Record for fastest texting using Swype keyboard pre-installed on the device. She wrote a textually challenging phrase:

the razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human

in just 25.94 seconds. The record was previously held by an American named Franklin Page who wrote the same exact sentence, also on a Samsung phone in 35.54 seconds in March of this year.

iPhone 4 Record

The record set by Miss Thompson, which was currently set for Guinness’ approval has already been beaten by Apple iPhone 4 ! A Blogger named Brian Sweet has claimed to have broken Melissa Thompson’s record. He wrote the same phrase which Melissa did on the Galaxy S, and he nailed it under a whooping 22 seconds and that too on an iPhone 4! That’s nearly about 4 seconds apart from Melissa’s record.

If anything, this video proves that even after three years since original iPhone, no smartphone manufacturer has been able to match iPhone’s onscreen virtual keyboard. It is still the best out there!
