Android does have a few good Twitter clients out there in the Market, including the official Twitter for Android app but TweetDeck for Android has been one of the most awaited Twitter client for Android platform. For those of you who don’t know, TweetDeck is one of the most popular Twitter client out there, available on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, iPad, and now finally on Android.
Here is the official statement from the company’s blog:
You begged. You pleaded. You offered us all manner of enticements, some of which we think may be illegal in some countries. We took this to mean that you really wanted TweetDeck on your Android device, and we agreed!
So without any further ado, we are delighted to announce that a beta version of our Android app is now officially available!
This public beta of TweetDeck for Android isn’t available on the Android Market. You will have to head over to this link to signup and TweetDeck will send you a link to your email address from where you can download the .apk file for your Android device. Email will also include the required installation instructions incase you need them. We’re really excited about TweetDeck for Android, but since it is in beta stage, it might have some quirks here and there which hopefully will be fixed with time.
